Jordan Dominique Odom is the son of an American rapper and songwriter Carlos Coy, popularly known as SPM. The founder of Dope House Records is a convicted sex offender. SPM began his raping career in 1994 by recording songs with the label SPM. In 1995, he founded Dope House Records with his brother Arthur Jr. and friend Jose Antonio Garza and released his debut album Hillwood. In March 1998 SPM launched his second album, Hustle Town, which was a hit. SPM is sentenced to 45 years in person for an aggravated sexual assault of a child in May 2002.

In 1999, he came up with his 4th album The 3rd Wish: To Rock the World, with the lead single, High So High, peaking at number 50 on the Billboard Hot Rap Tracks chart. In February 2000, he signed a  $500,000 contract with Universal Music Group and released three albums including Time is Money and The Purity Album (2000) and Never Change (2001). The Purity Album’s lead single You Know My Name chartered at number 99 on the Billboard R&B chart and 31 on the rap chart.

He faced a charge of sexual assault on a nine years old child and was arrested in September 2001. He was booked for several child molestation cases and was convicted in May 2002. Currently, he is serving 45 years of imprisonment at Ramsey Unit in Rosharon, Texas.
