His mother Brandt is best known for portraying slave girl Naevia in the TV series Spartacus: Blood and Sand. She has appeared in several New Zealand television series. She also starred as Mazikeen on the television series Lucifer from 2016 to 2021. Kingston’s father Chris Payne Gilbert is known for portraying Todd in the TBS sitcom 10 Items or Less (2006–2009).
