Mutulu Shakur (aka Jeral Wayne Williams) was born on August 8, 1950, in the U.S. and later moved to Jamaica. He was an American activist and former member of the Black Liberation Army. He was the father of Chinua Shakur, Mopreme Shakur, and Ayize Shakur (born on 3 October 1974). There is no reference on the internet about Chinua’s and Ayize’s mother, but Mopreme’s mother is Maurice Harding.

Mutulu married Afeni Shakur, the widow of his stepbrother Lumumba Shakur. She was an American political activist and an active member of the Black Panther Party. She had a son, Tupac Amaru Shakur (birth name Lesane Parish Crooks), from her former relationship with William Jefferson “Billy” Garland. Though Tupac was Mutulu’s stepson, they shared a good bond. Mutulu has a daughter, Sekyiwa ‘Set’ Shakur, with Afeni. After Afeni’s divorce in 1982, she took her children, Tupac and Sekyiwa to live with her. In 2004, Afeni married Gust Davis.

Mutulu married Makini Shakur in 1982 and has a daughter Nzingha Shakur with her.

Ayize Shakur aka Ayize Jama-Everett’s Family Net Worth

Ayize is an African American science and speculative fiction writer, and a practicing therapist. He has also worked as a bartender, a translator, a ghostwriter, a high school dean, a college professor, and a script doctor. He is the author of the trilogy The Liminal People, The Liminal War, and The Entropy of Bones. His graphic novel ‘Box of Bones is a two-time Eisner Award winner. Ayize is reported to have an estimated net worth of $3-5 million.

His stepbrother 2pac referred to as ‘the greatest rapper of all time’ was murdered on 13 Sept 1996. As of 2017, Tupac’s estimated net worth was $70 million (According to celebrity net worth). After his death, his mother Afeni became a co-executor of his estate. She founded both Amaru Entertainment, Inc. (the holding company for all of Pac’s unreleased music) and Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation (an arts program for young people) as well as 2Pac’s clothing line Makaveli Brand in 2003, with all proceeds going to Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation. Afeni died due to Cardiac arrest in May 2016, and everything was transferred to her daughter Sekyiwa.

Ayize’s father Mutulu was a certified Acupuncturist and founder of BAAANA and the Harlem Institute of Acupuncture. He was arrested and sentenced to 60 yrs.  prison for his involvement in a 1981 robbery of $1.6 million cash in a Brinks armored truck in which a guard and 2 police officers were murdered. Mutulu has an estimated net worth of $4-6 million. He died of cancer on 11 Nov 2022.
